Many users trying to download apps from the new Android Market Website are faced with a troubling error they can’t get past (we’ve got a solution). When they select an app to install they’re met with a message saying, “”There are no android phones associated with this account. Please sign in with a different account.”

If you’ve got the same problem (it’s affecting both rooted and non-rooted users), we’ve got step-by-step solution that should have you downloading apps and games from the market website in no time:

  • Log on to http://market.android.com
  • Click on My Account
  • Click on Recovering Password
  • Enter password (to validate it’s you)
  • Under the SMS Section:
    1. Click Edit
    2. If phone number is there – remove your phone number – if number not there, go to step 6
    3. Save
    4. Sign Out
    5. Sign back in, go back to same page as needed – or if prompted:
    6. Enter and save your phone number
    7. Sign out
  • Log on to http://market.android.com
  • Click on My Market Account
  • Click Settings tab – your phone should now appear!

Titled Systems and Methods for Integrating a Portable Electronic Device with a Bicycle, Apples newest patent application inspires a vision of what Steve Jobs company has in store for cycling enthusiasts.

Is Apple planning to revolutionize cycling as we know it? We cant really tell.

However, do note that the keyword here is integrated meaning the functions of the bike are read by the said portable electronic device. Judging by the illustration provided, the iPhone/iPod is either connected or reads the functions of several parts of the bicycle.

Some pundits are already guessing the specs of such a blend of machine and, uh, machine; GPS and a mapping system so your pleasant ride wont be encumbered by a gross ignorance of directions and possibly some sort of speed sensor you can use in conjunction with your music listening.

Of course, since were talking iPhones/iPods here, core functions like calls or music will be easier to manage while cycling away. You know, we may be onto something herelike a self steering bicycle. C

Contemplating the possibilities of this yet unnamed product, it does gives new meaning to the phrase Look Ma, no hands!

One of our members over at AndroidForums.com – Roman G. – is returning his HTC EVO 4G to Sprint due to a physical defect, and before he exchanges it for a brand new one, he decided to give us a look at how well the screen holds up to tough conditions.

His scratch test consisted of taking a metal screw, a key, a razor blade, and a penny to the EVO’s screen with no regard to its safety (or feelings, because phones do have feelings). The result was pretty impressive: nary a scratch or nick to be found (at least from what we can see, and we just decided to take his word for it, anyway).

If anything, this just tells us that you won’t have much to worry about if your keys/loose change and your phone end up brawling with each other in the same pocket. Still, who wouldn’t want the piece of mind of keeping a screen protector on that beautiful display?

[Note]: The glass covering the camera lens on the back of the phone is still very scratchable, so don’t use this as an excuse to treat your phone like it stole something from you.

Some cool cat over in Engadget’s comments claims to have gotten a bit of hands on time with the totally not-yet-announced Droid 2, and was kind enough to bring back a pic to back up their story.

The pic only shows the keyboard — but if it’s real, what a difference. They’ve dropped the mostly-useless D-Pad to increase the size of each key, while also bumping up the depth of the keys — which, given that the Droid 1’s keyboard was almost perfectly flat, is a massive upgrade.
